Women Empowerment
STI’s Women Empowerment Programme (WEP) focuses on improving the conditions of women; especially those in the marginalized communities so that they can access quality life with basic education & Counseling programs.
Our work among women focuses on protection to those affected by:
- Domestic violence: subjected to—physical, sexual, mental, verbal or emotional violence
- Human Trafficking: for prevention of trafficking for commercial sexual exploitation
- Dowry harassment: the giving or taking of dowry
- Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic: prohibits sex selection before or after conception and prevents the misuse of pre-natal diagnostic techniques for sex determination leading to female feticide
WEP is committed to enabling women, making them aware of their rights and entitlements, and empowering them to set up and maintain safe and secure, inclusive and gender responsive environments.
We believe this will lead to the development of a cadre of empowered women who become agents of change. They carry values of inclusion, mutual respect and equality, and democratize the spaces in which they live, whether it’s their family or community.

Supreme Task is registered under the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act 2010, bearing registration number 231660911, issued by Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India.
Supreme Task is registered under section 12A of the Income Tax Act, 1961 wide – DIT (E)/98-99/S-2317/98/650.
All donations made to Supreme Task are exempted under section 80 (G) of the Income Tax Act, 1961. Reg. No. DIT(E)/2011-12/S-2317/3270.
Supreme Task is registered as a recipient organization for getting duty free gift goods from Foreign Countriesunder Indo-US Bilateral Agreement.
Registered under ADHOC exemption issued under Sec 25 (2) of the Customs Act, 1962 to import duty-free donated gift goods.

Empanelled under BijuSwathyaKalyanYojna (BSKY) and BijuKrushakaKalyanYojna (BKKY).
Supreme Task is empanelled by National Health Mission, Govt. of Odisha as State Training Agency (South-West Zone) to run ASHA Home Based New Born Care (HBNC) in 6 Districts of Western Odisha.
